I do custom roadrunner skins for fellow carPC enthusiasts on a client by client basis. This skin was designed for someone in Europe and was a paid project. I can’t post it on the forums, sorry :(

In response to: Running the System Wires

Andrew Hreschak [Member]

Hi Shea, If you look at the firewall from under the hood, there is already a small hole in the firewall that goes directly into the driver’s side cabin approx 8-12 inches above the gas pedal.

When looking at it from under the hood, it’s approx 18 inches in from the driver’s side of the car, and approx 4-6 inches down from the hood. I’m guessing at the numbers here, but if you look in that general area you’ll find it. The hole is about the size of a nickel. It might be easier if you push a chopstick through the hole. It will help you to see where the hole is on the inside of the cabin once you push it through. Hope this helps… If you need more exact numbers leave another comment here and I’ll break out the tape-measure.

Hi Mitch… Positive review yes… I thought Media Engine was a decent app when I tested it but I did end up going with RoadRunner as I found it to be more flexible for my specific needs. I will say that I haven’t tested it since that time so I can’t speak to what advances have been made with Media Engine.

Thanks for stopping by the blog. :)

Hi Kevin and Oswald,

The ITX Skin isn’t available for download, but I do design custom variations on a client by client basis. If you’d like a vehicle-specific variant designed for your car and your car’s dashboard lighting/color scheme, let me know and we can discuss it. The ITX skin has been designed for at-a-glance ease of use while driving, and it’s a non-flash skin, so it runs super-fast on just about any processor.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, it says 99% complete because we’re always finding that one little thing that we could’ve done better with our carPC projects, or one more thing we’d like to add… 99% leaves me the room I need to say, ‘Yeah, I planned that all along.’

Anyway, I’m sending you an email to get some more info from you, and we’ll go from there, yeah?

Really nice skin.. Great job.. Unfortunately I’m not that talented =( However I’m building my car so I can participate in Swedens biggest carmeet and I’ve been looking all over for the best-looking skin there is for RR and I fell for yours right away.. But all the threads seem dead and it’s been 99% complete since -05 according to mp3car.com. I’m just wondering how’s it going and if you’re able to make one for my Nissan 200sx s14a (240sx).. It would really mean the world to me… This is actually the only skin worth paying for..
Would really appreciate an answer..

Thanks
