Why do I have to log on...?

I know you've all seen those commercials on tv that say "find out more about our product, just log on to such and such website"...

Well, if you have to waste your precious time to make an account and actually Log On to their website to find out about a product which I have a sneeking suspicion you're not going to want anyway, then let them just keep their damn product...

Or, when they say "just click on such and such"...

Okay, well, let me try that... I open my web browser, and it opens to Google, which is set as my homepage, but I don't see the link they said to click on so, again, let them keep their damn product... Or did they actually mean type in such and such website instead of clicking on some non-existent link?

I love these stupid corporations and marketing companies that use a medium to spread their poisonous message, while having not even the most basic understanding of the medium itself.

The sometimes random musings of a carbon-based lifeform, the manifested equivalent of three buckets of water, and a handful of minerals.
(Those very buckets turned upside-down, supply the percussive factor of forever).
